ROSTER INFORMATION
- Anyone playing for your team in 2012 must be listed as a regular active member on your club's February 1, 2012 membership roster. No exceptions. See Membership types in GHIN
- Playing indices for the 2012 season will be calculated using all 24 updates from February 15, 2011 to February 1, 2012. If a player has less than a 12-month history, her average will be calculated using the months she has available. The indices will be posted on this site shortly after the February 1, 2012 GHIN update.
- If you are the Team Captain for your club, please make sure your name and address are listed as such on the online Club Information Sheet, as that list is used for
all communication and mailings. If you need to update or change anything on the online Club Information Sheet, call the WSCGA office or notify the WSCGA Liaison at your club.
TELECONFERENCE
- Click to listen to a recording of the Team Captain teleconference held on January 4, 2012 (approximately 72 minutes) or for a copy of the agenda.
PAIRINGS-SCHEDULE-MANUAL
- 2012 pairings
- 2012 team play dates
- 2012 City Team Manual. (NOTE: Changes for 2012 are highlighted in yellow. Also, the Rules portion of the Manual is under review by the WSCGA Rules Director, as the USGA Rules of Golf have been revised for 2012. The Rules section will be added to the Team Manual once everything is approved).
SCORING AND SCORECARDS
- Sample Match Play Sorecard. The sides in this example began their match on the 18th hole which the home team won both gross and net; hence the careover of the +1 gross and net on hole 1 for the home team.
NOTE: To clarify, scoring is done by reporting the "state of the match" after each hole (+1, -1 or even, etc.) per 2-1 in the USGA Rules of Golf. It is not done by adding up hole points.
- Watch a USGA video on "How to Score Match Play"
- Scorecard Program
This is an Excel program that "pops" the cards off of the low player. It's offered as a convenience to Team Captains; your team is not required to use it. If you choose to use it, you'll need to "save" the program to your computer in order to enter and save your team information. The cards print on letter-sized paper (2 per sheet)
