WSCGA MAY 2, 2017
The WSCGA office will be closed on Tuesday, May 2, for the Desert Event. Regular office hours will resume on Wednesday at 8:00 a.m.

WSCGA CLUBS VOTE TO UNIFY WITH SCGA
WSCGA club proxies and ballots were tabulated at the Special Meeting held at Pacific Palms Resort on April 19th, 2017. WSCGA clubs overwhelmingly voted to approve the WSCGA's unification with the SCGA effective July 1, 2017 by a 99% to 1% margin. Sixty seven percent of WSCGA's 181 eligible clubs cast their proxy or ballot at the Special Meeting. For more information, read the WSCGA Member Letter and FAQs #5 HERE.

VOLUNTEER AT A DRIVE CHIP & PUTT QUALIFIER
Volunteers needed for local Drive Chip & Putt Qualifiers in various areas. See the volunteer opportunites HERE.

US WOMEN'S AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFYING
WSCGA members who sport a 5.4 index or lower, you can attempt to qualify at either Brentwood Country Club on July 10th or at Red Hill Country Club on June 27th. For information click HERE. To sign up click HERE (Entries will not open until early March 2017)

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES - 2017 US WOMEN'S AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP
The 117th US Women's Amateur Championship will be held at San Diego Country Club from August 7-13, 2017. There are many opportunities to volunteer for this prestigious championship. To information and to volunteer, click HERE. If you are able to attend, this is a great opportunity to witness the best female amateur golfers from the United States and around the world. Admission is complimentary and parking will be free with shuttle service to and from the venue. Make you plans now to participate as either a volunteer or spectator!

WSCGA ADOPTS NEW USGA LOCAL RULE
The WSCGA has adopted the following Local Rule authorized by the USGA for its 2017 Competitions and for all WSCGA managed Team Play: ACCIDENTAL MOVEMENT OF A BALL ON A PUTTING GREEN - When a player's ball lies on the putting green, there is no penalty if the ball or ball-marker is accidentally moved by the player, his/her partner, his/her opponent, or any of their caddies or equipment.
