A USGA Handicap Certification Seminar conducted by representatives from the USGA will be held at La Jolla Country Club in La Jolla on February 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The cost for the seminar is $40, which includes lunch, and the event is open to both men and women. The Women's Golf Council of Southern California will host its first tournament of 2010 at The Golf Club at La Quinta (formerly Trilogy) on April 10th. The format is Two Best Balls of Four, and the event is open is any female golfer with a verifiable USGA handicap index. For further information, visit the WGCSC website or click for an entry form.
The 15th Annual California Women's State Championship (CWC) will be held July 12-14, 2010 at Almaden Golf and Country Club in San Jose. The format is individual stroke play, and the tournment is open to any female resident of California with an index of 10.4 or below. This year's event is hosted by the Women's Golf Association of Northern California; Lynne Gangi is the 2010 CWC Coordinator . For further information visit the CWC website.
