  • The 40th annual Masters Championship will be held on October 18-19 at Rio Hondo Country Club in Downey. The tournament is open to female amateur golfers who are currently members of a Women's Golf Council of Southern California association and are Champions or Senior Champions of a WGCSC member club. The 2010 event will be conducted by the Women's Public Links Golf Association of Southern California. For further details please refer to the informational letter or click here for an entry form.
  • Danielle Kang, 17, of Thousand Oaks won the U.S. Women's Amateur 2 to 1 on the 35th hole over another 17 year-old, Jennifer Korda of Bradenton, Florida. The 2010 event was held at Charlotte Country Club in Charlotte, North Carolina and marked the tournament's 110th year. The U.S. Women's Amateur is one of the United States Golf Association's original three championships. It was first conducted in 1895, shortly after the inaugural U.S. Amateur and U.S. Open.   • The 49th U.S. Senior Women's Amateur Championship will be held at Fiddlesticks Country Club in Ft. Meyers, Florida on October 9-14, 2010. Local qualifying will be held at Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club on Tuesday, September 14th. Visit the USGA website for more information.
